Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
On Friday morning, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh inaugurated a rail overbridge in Bahrampur, coinciding with the announcement of the Panchayat Election Day.
It is noteworthy that Ghosh had spent the previous night in Bahrampur after participating in a party rally in Satui, Murshidabad. Accompanied by party workers, he visited Prabhat Ferry in Bahrampur before touring the area near the barracks intersection ground.
Directly proceeding to Chuapur, Ghosh inspected the railway overbridge, which had been constructed six months earlier. Despite the inauguration of the project occurring after the election day announcement, a potential violation of election rules, Ghosh argued that since there was no voting scheduled in the city, it did not fall under the purview of such violations.
